We have so many reasons to be joyful and thankful here at The Archibald Project. This time last year we were gearing up for one of the biggest transitions of our entire lives. My wife and I had just quit our day jobs and stepped out, fully in faith, to take our orphan care nonprofit full time.

Up until that point we were both comfortable with our trusted paychecks and assured growing careers. But more help was needed in the world of orphan care and more help is what we wanted to give.

Hopefully you can tell through our honesty and transparent passion that The Archibald Project is more than just a job to us. It is a calling that we are deeply passionate about. We haven’t always been orphan advocates. We didn’t grow up wanting to adopt and care for the fatherless, but we did ask God to use us. We said we would do anything, go anywhere, and do whatever He wanted for His purpose and glory. And then in 2011 we found ourselves in a small, practically abandoned town in Bulgaria documenting a very special adoption. That was the beginning of our orphan care nonprofit.

During the 3 years of part time with T.A.P., we used all of our extra time and resources to be a voice for orphans. We never took a paycheck and never missed an opportunity to give our artistic talents to those in need. Our audience grew and so did our voice. We saw how much more we could give, how many more stories we could tell, and ultimately how many more orphans we could help if we took our nonprofit full time.

So with little money in the bank and some fear in our hearts, we took the plunge. We quit our jobs and haven’t looked back. In the past 12 months The Archibald Project has told over 30 inspiring and educational orphan care stories! And we believe this is just the beginning!

We want to invite you to join us on the blog all this week. We are going to share some of the amazing things from this past year that The Archibald Project has been able to accomplish because of people like you joining our mission! Each day we will share beautiful stories from 2015 and share the exciting things we have planned for 2016!

If our mission excites you, if it resonates within your soul, we would love to partner with you! We would love to have you be a part of eliminating the orphan crisis with us!
