Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! We could not be more excited to share this blog post with you all! As you know (or perhaps you don't? well check here!!), The Archibald Project is taking our very first team of artists to Jinja, Uganda in March for a Media Mission. We'll be spending 7 full days immersed in the African culture, living and breathing the Jinjan way. During the mornings we'll be loving on the kiddos of one specific babies home for the pure sake of just being a presence in their lives. No cameras or media allowed, just willing hearts and open arms during our morning visits. After lunch our team will strap on their equipment, or slip their pens and note pads into their back pockets and head back into the orphanage to work on their stories. Their purpose in those hours will be to tell a child's story, to show the world that these orphaned kiddos exist and are worthy of love! We have spent the past few weeks reading and praying through pages of applications and interviewing some really rad individuals who are sincerely passionate about serving the fatherless through their art. It was harder than imaged to narrow down applicants and find our team of 9, well really 11 if you count me and Nick, but we have finally come to our final team and could not be more pumped!
Over the next few weeks we'll be introducing you to each team member here on our blog so that you may begin to know them and follow their art. Please stay tuned to learn about some really wonderful people!
And now, we humbly introduce you to our Media Mission 2014 Team Members!
