"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)
Today we begin our Mercy Monday series. A quote, a scripture, a single photo; anything that might move your heart toward the idea of serving the orphan.
God's promises are for His people. He will give strength and comfort to His children, regardless of location, ethnicity, orphaned or claimed. We tend to believe that we are in control of our and our family's well being. Beloved, we are not. So take this moment, find hope in the Cross and lift up a prayer of thanksgiving for God's promise to strengthen and comfort His children. Whether your babe is home or still in an orphanage, take comfort that He is their comforter and will not leave them. A time will come to parent, to discipline, to kiss scraped knees and to show them how you, in your sin, need to be comforted and strengthened by the only source of true strength.
